Let’s make Term 4 one to remember.

Welcome to Term 4: A Time of Celebration and Reflection

As the final term of 2025 begins, the school community of Peter Carnley Anglican Community School (PCACS) comes together once again recharged from the holidays and ready for an exciting term ahead.

This week marked a particularly special moment in the school calendar, as we gathered for the official announcement of the 2026 Prefects. For the first time, this significant event was held before the Year 12 Valedictory celebrations, enabling a handover between outgoing and incoming prefects and allowing our graduating students to witness and celebrate this key milestone in the life of the school.

Families, staff and students filled the assembly with a sense of pride and anticipation, celebrating leadership, transition and the ongoing legacy of service at PCACS.

A warm welcome was extended to our Year 12, returning for their final days at school. This time is one of reflection, closure and celebration. As they prepare to receive final assessments and advice from teachers, we look ahead to the formal farewells and well-deserved recognition of their achievements.

For our Year 11 students, the prefect announcement marks the beginning of their own leadership journey as they step closer to Year 12. It is a moment to look ahead with purpose and pride, knowing that their time to lead is fast approaching.

Students were greeted by exciting changes on campus. The towering Stage 9 building now visibly takes shape, with tilt panel walls rising during the break. The Junior School courtyard has received its finishing touches and in a continued commitment to sustainability, new solar panels have been installed on the gymnasium roof. These projects are not just physical additions they reflect the school’s commitment to innovation, growth and environmental responsibility.

As Term 4 unfolds, there is much to look forward to. Each year group has unique opportunities ahead, from camps and ceremonies to work experience and challenge days. The term will conclude with our beloved awards celebrations and the eagerly awaited Carols on the Green.

This is a time to be fully present, to participate and to embrace the many experiences that lie ahead. As we were reminded in this week’s address, the greatest regrets often come from the things we didn’t do, rather than the things we did. So, students are encouraged to be bold, to get involved, and to make the most of each day.

None of these opportunities would be possible without the dedication of our staff, who consistently go above and beyond to create meaningful learning experiences. Their passion, commitment and care form the backbone of our school community.

As we move through this final term of 2025, may we all take a moment to reflect on the role we play in shaping the spirit of PCACS and continue to live out the values of Spirituality, Excellence, Respect and Belonging.
