The PCACS Netball Academy has had a fantastic start to 2025, with a busy and rewarding first term filled with exciting opportunities and achievements.

The year began with friendly matches against Living Waters Lutheran College and RKAS, giving our teams a valuable opportunity to build confidence, test their skills, and strengthen team dynamics early in the season.

In addition to match play, many of our students have taken their first steps toward earning coaching and umpiring accreditations. These programs are an important part of the Academy’s mission to develop not only skilled players, but also knowledgeable and capable leaders within the sport.

The highlight of the term came last week with a visit from the Singapore Centaurs. This international exchange, now in its third year, continues to be a special event on our School calendar. PCACS remains undefeated in this friendly rivalry, with our Year 7/8 team securing a close 3-point win and our Year 9/10 team delivering a strong 15-point victory. Beyond the scoreboard, the experience was rich with camaraderie and learning. After the matches, players from both schools participated in team bonding activities, followed by a hands-on theory session led by our Year 10 students. They shared their experiences and insights into the coaching accreditation process, offering valuable guidance to the visiting team.

Looking ahead, the Academy is preparing for the SSWA High School Cup, where we aim to continue our strong performance. To finish off the term, Year 10 students will attend a match at RAC Arena to watch the West Coast Fever take on the Adelaide Thunderbirds—an exciting opportunity to see elite netball in action and draw inspiration from the professionals.

It’s been a brilliant start to the year, and we’re proud of the growth, sportsmanship, and spirit our students have shown. We look forward to what the rest of 2025 will bring.
