A term full of excitement, achievement and the celebration of talent at PCACS!
As Term 3 ends, we look back on a spectacular array of carnivals and events including Book Week, Science Week, Operation Op Shop, RUOK Day, Arts and Technologies Week, Peter Carnley’s Got Talent, Prefect selections, the Year 4 sleepover amongst many of the highlights. These experiences create an environment for exploration, creative expression, deep learning, collaboration and most importantly, a love for learning. Thank you to all our families, whether it is making a costume or reading to your child, dropping them at training or setting routines at home for homework and assessment preparation, every moment is appreciated. Thank you to our dedicated and hard working PCACS staff for designing and delivering so many rich learning experiences for our students.
With Stage 9 coming to completion, we look forward to moving into the new spaces next term. The official Opening Ceremony will be held at the start of 2027 to coincide with our 20th Anniversary year. I look forward to sharing the new classrooms and facilities with you once we have possession of the building. Inside you will find new classrooms for visual art, music, food technology, textiles, mathematics, and a spectacular new performance auditorium complete with stage lighting. These magnificent new spaces are surrounded by landscaped gardens and a grassed outdoor amphitheatre. Classes will commence in a staggered start with the new building fully operational for the start of the 2027 academic year.
All the best of luck to the Year 11 students who put themselves forward for Prefect roles. We look forward to the announcement of the 2026 Prefects at my Principal’s Assembly at the start of Term 4. Congratulations to Annabelle Cardew, Larna Sweetman and Victoria Beaumont Cabrera, who will receive Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award at Government House tonight and to Jade Hutton who has now also achieved her Gold award. This is an incredible achievement.
As we head into the term break, we wish the Year 12s well as they prepare themselves for exams and for their final days of school. For those who are travelling away these holidays, we wish you a safe journey and look forward to seeing everyone rested and ready for Term 4.
Happy holidays everyone!
God bless.
