Years 2 to 6 the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, ensuring that everyone could get involved and enjoy the day.
The Junior School Swimming Carnival was a fantastic day filled with energy, teamwork, and plenty of fun in and around the pool. The carnival was designed to give all students from Years 2 to 6 the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, ensuring that everyone could get involved and enjoy the day.
Students were able to choose how they wanted to take part, with options including traditional swimming races or a range of engaging tabloid activities. This approach meant that students of all abilities and interests were able to participate, challenge themselves, and support their peers throughout the carnival.
The swimming race events showcased many enthusiastic competitors. Students took to the water to compete in a number of races, including the 25m Freestyle, 25m Breaststroke, 25m Backstroke, and 25m Butterfly. For those ready to push themselves a little further, the 50m Freestyle provided an exciting challenge. These races highlighted the determination and effort of the swimmers, with many students proudly representing their houses and giving their best in every event.
Alongside the races, a wide variety of tabloid activities added even more fun and excitement to the day. Students enjoyed working together in activities such as Pool Noodle Towers, Pass the Water Relay, Fill the Bucket, and the Sponge Relay. Other popular events included Beach Volleyball, Water Balloon Catching, Kickboard Races, and Sinkies Collection. These activities encouraged teamwork, creativity and plenty of laughter, making the carnival enjoyable for everyone involved.
A big thank you goes to the Junior School staff and Mr Steve Wynhorst for their support, organisation and help in running the carnival. Their efforts ensured the day ran smoothly and that students had a safe and memorable experience.
The staff were also supported by the Year 6 captains, along with several outstanding volunteers from Year 6, James, Dheena, Harvey, Annabelle and Brooke. Their leadership and willingness to assist throughout the day were greatly appreciated and helped make the event a success.
Overall, the Junior School Swimming Carnival was a wonderful celebration of participation, teamwork, and PCACS spirit.
