Rain could not diminish the excitement of our Junior School students at the Interschool Cross Country.
Despite the rain, it did not dampen our Junior School’s excitement for the Interschool Cross Country, with students showing wonderful enthusiasm, resilience and team spirit throughout the day.
Students from Years 2 to 6 eagerly took to the course around the School grounds, giving their best effort and encouraging one another from start to finish. Our Year 2 students tackled a challenging 700m course, while students in Years 3 to 6 competed in a longer 1.8km course. Despite the wet conditions underfoot, every student demonstrated determination, perseverance and outstanding sportsmanship.
The event was filled with cheering from staff, parents and students alike, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere across the school. Thank you to all parents and supporters who braved the rainy conditions to cheer students on throughout the event. It was wonderful to see students encouraging their peers, celebrating achievements and embracing the spirit of participation. For many students, simply crossing the finish line was a significant accomplishment.
The Cross Country event also served as an important opportunity for students in Years 3 to 6 to qualify for the next stage of competition. Students who finished in the top five places in their year group will now be selected to represent the School at the KSSA Interschool Cross Country Event in Term 3.
Congratulations to Moody House for taking out the overall win for the event for the 2nd year running, a fantastic achievement.
Well done to all students who gave it their all and displayed fantastic effort and PCACS spirit throughout the event. We look forward to cheering on our selected runners later in the year.
