The day was filled with joy, reflection, and a strong sense of belonging as students and staff participated in a range of meaningful and fun activities.
On Friday 13 June, our School community came together to celebrate Founders’ Day, a cherished tradition that honours our School’s history and the values that continue to guide us.
The celebrations began with the Founders’ Day Service in the Keith Lindbeck Centre. The Right Reverend David Bassett presided over the Service. We were blessed to have our School Patron,
The Most Reverend Dr Peter Carnley AC in attendance along with Mr Philip Goldsworthy, Chair of School Council together with Mayor Peter Feasey. The service featured the presentations of our 2026 Scholarship winners and outstanding performances by the Senior Voyager Band, the Peter Carnley Children’s Choir, and the Senior Choir. Their musical contributions are always a highlight and a beautiful expression of the talent and spirit within our School.
We were pleased to welcome many parents and friends of the School to the service. Their presence added a special touch to the morning and served as a meaningful reminder of the strong support and connection within our broader School community.
Throughout the day, students took part in a variety of activities designed to celebrate our flourishing community. One of the most valued traditions was the buddy activities, where Senior students teamed up with Junior students to engage in fun and collaborative tasks. These interactions provided a great opportunity for older students to demonstrate leadership and for younger students to feel connected and supported.
Junior School finished the day with a Colour Run in support of new playground equipment for All Saints School in Samoa. All Saints School, an Anglican School in Samoa, is supported by PCACS through service learning initiatives. Parents, families, and friends gathered on the oval for a joyful community event as students participated in the Colour Run. It was inspiring to see such strong support for a meaningful cause, highlighting a shared commitment to serving others. We are thrilled to share that the Junior School has raised over $10,000.
Senior School students competed enthusiastically in Interhouse Activities, showcasing teamwork and House spirit. This followed a week of celebrating our House Patrons in Spirit Week.
Founders’ Day 2025 was a memorable occasion that brought our entire school together in celebration. It reminded us of the importance of community, the joy of shared traditions, and the bright future we continue to build together with Grace and Truth.
