More than academic achievements, this cohort leaves behind a legacy of resilience, determination and mateship.
Over the past week, our school community has come together to celebrate the Class of 2026 as they reached the culmination of their journey at Peter Carnley Anglican Community School. It has been a week marked by reflection, gratitude and celebration, recognising not only what these students have achieved, but also the people they have become. Throughout their years at school, this cohort has demonstrated resilience, perseverance and a commitment to supporting one another, qualities that will serve them well beyond the school gates.
The celebrations began with our Commemorative Tree Planting Ceremony, a cherished tradition that symbolises the lasting legacy each graduating cohort leaves behind. As the Class of 2026 planted their tree, they reflected on the friendships, experiences and memories that have shaped their time at school and the contribution they have made to our community.
At the Valedictory Eucharist, students received their graduation sashes in front of family, peers and staff. The sash serves as a symbol of belonging, achievement and growth throughout their school journey, marking their transition from students of the school to graduates preparing for the next chapter of their lives. The service provided an opportunity to give thanks for the experiences that have shaped the cohort and to acknowledge how far they have come.
The Valedictory Assembly provided an opportunity for the wider school community to farewell the cohort. One of the most treasured traditions was the Guard of Honour formed by our Junior School students, who lined the pathways to applaud the graduating class. This special moment highlighted the strong sense of community that connects students across all year levels and recognised the example the Class of 2026 has set during their time as senior students.
The week concluded with the Valedictory Dinner, where students, families and staff gathered to celebrate the journey that brought them to this milestone. The evening was filled with laughter, memories and pride as students reflected on the friendships they have formed, the challenges they have overcome and the experiences that have shaped them into the young adults they are today.
The Class of 2026 leaves behind a meaningful legacy and many cherished memories. While their time at Peter Carnley Anglican Community School has come to an end, the connections they have built and the impact they have had on our community will endure. We congratulate them on their achievements and wish them every success as they embark on the next stage of their journey. Thank you to Miss Isabella Dudek, who led this year group with passion, diligence and a genuine commitment to helping every student become the best version of themselves as they walk beyond our gates and into their adult lives.
