Peter Carnley Anglican Community School is stepping confidently into its next phase of growth. With Stage 9, 3 level construction now well underway, we are preparing for a future that reflects the aspiration, creativity, and evolving needs of our growing School community.

In April, we gathered following our Easter Service to mark this important milestone with The Right Reverend Hans Christiansen blessing the site. The Reverand Peter Laurence joined Principal Ms Felicity House, Staff, Students, School Council members, Noongar Elders Barry Winmar and Courtney Winmar and representatives from EIW Architects and Bridge42 came together in a moment of unity and reflection. The ceremony, underscored the significance of what is being built, not just in bricks and mortar, but in opportunity and purpose.

Stage 9 is far more than a building project; it is a forward thinking investment in the Student experience at PCACS. As our enrolments grow, so does our responsibility to provide innovative and enriching learning environments. This development answers that call delivering flexible, thoughtfully designed spaces that support both creative and academic growth.

The new facilities include three dedicated art studios, a state of the art performing arts auditorium, instrumental music rooms, two fully equipped food technology kitchens, and purpose built textiles spaces. These specialist areas will enable Students to engage more deeply in hands on, practical learning, while expanding access to diverse curriculum opportunities across year levels.

Equally important is the addition of new general learning classrooms, which will help accommodate our growing cohort and allow for continued delivery of high quality, Student focused teaching. These learning spaces are being designed with modern pedagogy in mind, encouraging collaboration, engagement, and adaptability.

Among the programmes to benefit most from Stage 9 is the Voyager Programme, our enrichment pathway for high performing Students. Voyager fosters independence, critical thinking and creativity, equipping Students with the skills they need to meet complex challenges with confidence. With access to enhanced learning environments, this programme will continue to evolve and offer new opportunities for talented learners to stretch and excel.

Excitement is building across the entire School. From Junior School Students eager to cook up a storm in the food technology spaces, to Senior Students anticipating their first stellar performance in a professional auditorium, the enthusiasm is contagious. Parents and staff alike see this expansion not only as a response to growth, but as a bold step toward to even greater educational excellence.

At PCACS, we are not just building facilities, we are building futures. And as Stage 9 takes shape, so too does our mission to challenge and inspire a community of purposeful learners who are engaged, caring, connected and aspirational.
