Over the past week, we have celebrated our incredible Class of 2025.
It was a week of significant activities and events centered around reflection, celebration, friendship, and joy. It has been a privilege to witness the growth and spirit of these young people throughout their journey at PCACS, some students since Kindergarten in 2012. Their final week was a beautiful mix of heartfelt, memorable and fun events.
The celebrations began with a meaningful Eucharist, a time to pause and reflect on the shared experiences and values that have shaped our students. This was made particularly special now that we have a School Chaplain. Fr Raphael beautifully reflected on the School’s values and how the students can take this into their adult lives. This was followed by the traditional planting of a commemorative tree, a lasting symbol of their legacy and the roots they’ve established within our community as well as their growth and development over their time at PCACS.
The finale to the Year 2 Buddy Programme at Kwinana Adventure Park was a highlight with these connections representing the heart of our community, a sense of belonging being experienced through joyful and meaningful connections across different year groups. It was evident the positive impact our seniors have had on the younger students, and vice versa.
Friday afternoon was a celebration of fun and joy, as the Year 12s and PCG teachers engaged in an afternoon of water activities. Throughout their Senior School years, this cohort has developed a culture of connection and fun and it was a joy to see this come through in various points throughout the week.
The celebrations concluded on Monday with the Valedictory Assembly in the morning and the Valedictory Dinner in the evening. It was a time to pause and reflect on the past fourteen years of schooling, express gratitude, celebrate academic achievements, and share memories of a wonderful journey, surrounded by family, friends, and staff.
Our Head Boy, Ryan Rawlinson, and Head Girl, Takunda Bere, delivered heartfelt speeches, encouraging students to embrace every moment, take chances, and be unapologetically themselves. They reminded us all to find time for what we love, treat others with kindness, and build connections that sustain us through life’s challenges.
To the Class of 2025, thank you for the memories, the leadership, and the relationships you’ve shared. You leave behind a legacy of joy, connection and care, and we wish you every blessing as you step into the next chapter of your lives.
