PCACS@Home

Peter Carnley Anglican Community School recognises the importance of consistency in learning, whether it is onsite or online. The PCACS@Home Programme will allow our students to remain connected to their teachers and their learning in the event of a School site closure.

The delivery of Learning at Home will vary for different year levels:

Kindergarten, Pre Primary, Year 1, 2 and 3

Learning activities will be delivered via Seesaw, with a balance between online, hands on and book learning.

Year 4, 5 and 6

Learning activities will be delivered via Microsoft Teams.

Year 7, 8 and 9

Learning activities will be delivered via Microsoft Teams with an embedded Class OneNote.

Year 10, 11 and 12

Learning activities will be delivered via Microsoft Teams with an embedded Class OneNote. Students will follow their normal weekly timetable. The importance of this stage of learning requires higher levels of interaction and engagement with the teacher.

Attendance

Students will be required to check-in with their class or tutor teacher daily.

Parent communication and support

Parents and teachers will maintain communication via email. Parents will be contacted if their child is not checking-in to their classes and continuing with their learning.

Email and SEQTA will be an important communication tool for whole school information and we encourage everyone to check these forms of communication frequently.
