Our School
Principal's Welcome
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Peter Carnley Anglican Community School (PCACS). This School, the eighth created by the Anglican Schools Commission (Inc) opened at Wellard at the commencement of the 2007 academic year. The School offers Kindergarten through to Year 12.
PCACS provides excellence in all aspects of a broad based education, with core values being based in Christian and liberal ideals. The School encourages students to undertake a wide exploration of knowledge within a supportive Christian environment.
A central tenet of the School is that every student be given the opportunity to realise their potential in everything they undertake. Crucial to achievement is the development of a three way partnership between the student, parents and the School. It is the building of this partnership and subsequent communication that develops the sense of community and school pride that is essential in any successful School.
Pastoral Care is an important element of everyday life at PCACS. Staff are actively involved in all aspects of student participation within the School, in the classroom, on the sports field and in the multitude of extra-curricular activities that are available. The development of strong, nurturing relationships creates an environment in which students feel safe, secure and happy.
PCACS aims to ensure the overall development of its students in preparation for their entry into the adult world. In addition to academic achievement, our students develop self-esteem, self-confidence and individuality whilst ensuring a caring and considerate attitude towards others.
